The New 9-1 Grading System
As you may know, the government is changing the way GCSEs are assessed for students. All GCSEs are being updated and from 2017 GCSEs in Maths and English will no longer be awarded a grade, but will be awarded a number from 9-1, with 9 being the highest award and 1 being the lowest. Other subjects will follow at a later date.
A table is included below detailing the average numbers students should perhaps be working at by end of the year. Obviously, there will be some students above and below this depending on their ability.

Students who are entered for these exams will take the new GCSEs, graded 9 to 1, in:
