Brave fundraiser for Alec

Lily and Mia in year 10 very bravely shaved their hair at school to raise money for Alec, a family friend, who has the life ending illness Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). They are hoping to raise £1000 to go towards buying Alec a ceiling hoist to help Alec become more independent and less reliant on his parents. The fundraising event, on Monday 18 December, took place in front of students, staff and family and was live streamed on Facebook. The girls donated their hair to The Little Princesses charity, which makes wigs for people suffering from hair loss.

You can donate via Alec's Just Giving page. Please do leave a donation, no matter how small, and a message of encouragement for Alec and thanks for the girls.

Ms Eastwick-Thorne will also be collecting cash donations in school.

Many thanks for your support of this very brave fundraising event.
