Aspirations Week

Our Aspirations days are designed to challenge, inspire and introduce students to activities that may be new to them; in order to stimulate their creativity, team work, confidence and sense of accomplishment.

Students from year 7 to year 10 enjoyed four days of activities, including: team-building challenges lead by the Royal Marines and the RAF, science experiments, virtual reality sessions, woodwork, dance workshops, board games, origami, golf, tennis, arts and camping, whilst sixth form students concentrated on their career and further education options with lots of advice and information available to make the right choices.

Year 8 students were given the opportunity to experience two days of Bushcraft at Boughton Woods in Northamptonshire and language students and members of staff went even further afield travelling to Barcelona and Paris for a few days to take in the sights, history and culture of these European cities.

On the Wednesday it was the Banbury Academy Aspirations Walk to Adderbury, a challenging hike over the fields and a picnic lunch.

Our whole school Sports Day on the Thursday was the culmination of our celebration of our values of engagement, purpose and belonging.
